What was important?

Improve the quality of CP survey data and reduce the cost of CP data collection by adding an attachment to a mini ROV (instead of a work-class ROV). The solution enables accurate estimation of remaining lifetime for UWS and CP modelling:

  • Reduced offshore vessel time and elimination of diving.
  • Efficient and precise inspection/testing of CP systems.
  • Optimised retrofit design and cost.
  • Forecasted time to next inspection.
  • Comprehensive evaluation of CP system integrity as part of routine subsea surveys.

Business Impact:

Improved productivity by approximately 500%, resulting in savings of $300,000.

The FiGS survey cost $25,000 per offshore jacket compared with a conventional CP survey at around $300,000.
